- Organic Chemist
DUTIES: The successful candidate will devise and implement polymer coating strategies of glass microfluidic plates for UTMB’s ProFiler Proteomics platform. In addition, he or she will also be responsible for the synthesis, characterization, and purification of polymer matrices (entangled polymers) for size-based fractionation of proteins.
EDUCATION: Masters of Science degree
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of post-MS experience in the field of polymer science/organic chemistry. Must have hands-on experience in organic synthesis, with a focus on polymer synthesis, purification, and characterization. Must have a working knowledge of surface glass chemistry.
