Located within the University of Texas Medical Branch, the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is home to a a strong and diverse group of individuals including staff, faculty, technicians, graduate and medical students, fellows, and other scientists. Our two missions are research, which we define as the creation and application of new and important knowledge, and education, which spans activities from formal teaching to one on one mentoring.
