April 2025 Spotlight: Madhuri Tatiparthy

I grew up in a remote Indian village, where the idea of women pursuing a career in science is very rare. However, during my undergraduate studies, I discovered pharmacology and became fascinated by human physiology and the vast possibilities within science. This passion led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, where I developed a deep interest in understanding how cells behave in different physiological environments. Currently, I am working in Menon's lab, and my research focuses on extracellular vesicle signaling between the fetus and mother during pregnancy. My ultimate goal is to establish my own biotechnology venture, bridging research and innovation while advocating for women in science. I aspire to create opportunities that empower women to excel in STEM fields.

Beyond my work, I love to explore the mountains and go on hikes with my family, embracing nature as a source of inspiration.
